The "3.3V and Mixed Voltage Compatible Products" application
note states that the "Initial XC4000XL devices do not have 5V
tolerant inputs.  Future XC4000XL devices will have 5V tolerant
inputs.  Contact the factory."


Solution 1:

This statement is incorrect.  All XC4000XL sample and
production devices have 5V tolerant inputs.
