General Description

As of November 1996, Xilinx announced that they would
be taking complete control over distribution of the
Cadence interface.  At this time, Cadence stopped generating
licenses for Xilinx core tools and also stopped shipping
Xilinx core software.

However, the transition is not yet complete (this is still
true as of March 1997).  Customers purchasing the Xilinx/Cadence
Concept or Composer interfaces from XILINX must still obtain
the licenses for all Cadence/Xilinx translators from CADENCE
(CONCEPT2XNF, XNFOUT, XCDSPREP and XNF2CDS).
The only change at this point is that Xilinx has taken over
generation of the licenses for the Xilinx Core Tools (XACT 5.2.1).

The products affected are:

  - 51020    Xilinx/Concept Interface (Front End)
  - 51021    Xilinx/Concept Interface (Front to Back Solution)

  - 51022    Xilinx/Composer Interface (Front End)
  - 51023    Xilinx/Composer Interface (Front to Back Solution)




Solution 1:

Customers must contact Cadence to update their licenses
for the Cadence/Xilinx interfaces.
