Problem Title:
XACT_CPLD: Hitop - This program has performed an ilegal operation.....


Problem Description:
When you run Optimizer/Partitioner Version XACT_CPLD-V6.0.2f,
it starts to read the .xff file and you may get the following
error:

Hitop

This program has performed an illegal operation and will be
shut down.

If the problem persists, contact the program vendor
DETAILS>>

Hitop cause an invalid page fault in module hitop.exe......

and so on.


Solution 1:

If the design entry tool is Symplify this may be due to syntax
errors in your vhdl design that were not picked up by the
synthesis syntax check.

Check for inconsistances in bus/address widths especially when
making comparisons between them.
