Problem Title:
PROM File Formatter 6.0.1: Page Fault (illegal operation) during Save
PROM Operation
Problem Description:
Keywords: PROM, 4020E, 4025E, bit, daisy chain
Urgency: Standard
General Description:
This program has performed an illegal operation
and will be shut down.
If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.
Details>>
PROMFMTR caused an invalid page fault in
module PROMFMTR.EXE at 0137:0047a528.
Solution 1:
Cause:
Devices with bitstreams larger than 256Kb, 4020E and 4025E,
will not show a default XC1700 PROM in the PROM size box of the
Save PROM dialog because the largest available PROM, 17256, is
too small to fit the .bit file.
If "OK" is pressed without selecting a valid PROM size, the
program will report a page fault.
Solution:
If the bitstream is to be split among several PROMs, select the
appropriate XC1700 device and press "OK."
If one large PROM file is needed, select the Byte wide and then
press "OK."
For more information on PROM file options, see the PROM File
Formatter Reference/User Guide.
