General Description:

The JTAG Programmer does not check to make sure that the device
package which the JED file is created for matches the actual
device package being programmed.  In other words, if you
attempt to program an XC9572PC84 with an XC9572PQ100 JED file,
it will program successfully, and not give any warning or
indication that the package doesn't match.  Any unbonded pins
will be programmed, but inaccessible to the user.


Solution 1:

Be sure that the JED file is targetted to the same device
package as that being programmed.
