In NGDBUILD or MAP, the following warning may appear:

   WARNING:basnu - Attribute "SLEW" is not allowed on symbol "I$8669" of
   type "ibuf".  This attribute will be ignored.

What is the "SLEW" attribute?


Solution 1:

The "SLEW" attribute is actually the "FAST" (fast slew-rate) attribute as
seen by NGDBUILD and MAP.  This warning therefore means that the FAST
attribute has been attached to a symbol that does not accept it (in this
case, an IBUF).
