General Description:

Under normal circumstances, using the Download Cable to program
the XC9500 device, attempting to do a Verify Operation on a
Read-Protected device will not work, since the device is
Read-Protected.  However, if you are working in SVF mode to
write to an SVF file instead of using the Download Cable, the
JTAG Programmer software will allow you to do a Verify
Operation on a Read-Protected device.  This means that once
you actually use this SVF file to program the device, it will
fail due to the Read-Protect.


Solution 1:

The user just needs to be aware of this and understand the
functionality when in SVF mode.
