General Description:

The CPLD flow does not accept xtf files from previous
of the xact software.

Example of on-screen messages seen in this case:

Command Line: ngdbuild -p xc9500 /proj/bjack.xtf xc9500.ngd
Launcher:  Using rule XTF_RULE
Launcher:  bjack.ngo is up to date
Reading NGO file "/proj/bjack/ver1/bjack.ngo"
...
Reading component libraries for design expansion...
PROGRAM ABNORMALLY TERMINATED








Solution 1:

There are two workarounds for this problem.

1.  You can bring the original xnf file into the M1 design
    manager. The original xnf files are acepted.

2.  You can also generate an edif netlist which can
    be used for design entry.  (This is the recommended
    method.)
