Design Manager M1: fatal relocation error: symbol not found: _ex_keylock
Record #2559
Product Family: Software
Product Line: FPGA Core
Problem Title:
Design Manager M1: fatal relocation error: symbol not found: _ex_keylock
Problem Description:
Keywords: fatal, relocation, _ex_keylock
Urgency: Hot
General Description: When invoking the Design Manager or the
LogiBlox graphical interface tools on Solaris platforms, the
tools will fail to load and print the following error:
ld.so.1:lbgui:fatal:relocation error: symbol not found:
_ex_keylock
The problem is found in early versions of SunOS 5.4 that
contained an incomplete version of libC.so.5 -- the
definition for _ex_keylock was missing.
Solution 1:
$XILINX/bin/sol/libC.so.5._ex_keylock file contains a fix
for this problem. Rename it to "libC.so.5". Make sure that
$XILINX/bin/sol appears in LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment
variable ahead of any other directory which contains a
"libC.so.5".
$XILINX/bin/sol MUST be in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH anyway.
Although Xilinx has tested this library it is possible that
it may not work on all systems. You can approach Sun for
a good copy of "libC.so.5".
