General Description:

The XVHDL feature of the Foundation F1.x package requires
a hardware key for authorization.  Note that the XVHDL feature
is for the METAMOR VHDL compiler only, NOT the Express
compiler.  The Express compiler which is an option with F1.4,
is licensed by FlexLM.


Solution 1:

The XVHDL feature of the Foundation F1.x software is
authorized by a hardware key.  The rest of the F1.x software is
licensed by a FlexLM license file.  For more information on
setting up the FlexLM license file, see (Xilinx Solution 2003).

New Foundation DS-FND-STV or DS-FND-BSV customers will receive
a pre-programmed hardware key with the software.

Existing Foundation DS-FND-STV or DS-FND-BSV customers will
simply use their existing hardware key to authorize the XVHDL
feature.
