Foundation F1.3: Where to find old Foundation 6.x libraries
Problem Description:
Keywords: libraries, XACTStep6
Urgency: Standard
General Description:
If I have uninstalled the Foundation 6.x libraries, how can I
reinstall them so that I may use the XACTStep6 Project Type in
the Foundation F1.3 tools?
Solution 1:
Foundation F1.3 has the option to choose an "XACTStep6" Project
Type to enable designs targetting families not supported in M1
to be continued with the new Foundation software. For more
information on this flow, see (Xilinx Solution 2599).
The XACTStep6 Project Type requires the older Foundation 6.x
libraries to be installed in the ACTIVE\SYSLIB directory. If
these libraries were deleted or removed when upgrading to F1.3,
they must be copied back to the current ACTIVE\SYSLIB
directory, where ACTIVE is the Foundation install directory
(typically C:\ACTIVE).
These libraries can be obtained from one of two places.
* Foundation 6.0.1 CDROM
* File Download area of Xilinx Web site
Foundation 6.0.1 CDROM:
======================
Copy the desired files from the ACTIVE\SYSLIB
directory on the CDROM to the C:\ACTIVE\SYSLIB directory on the
PC. It is only necessary to copy those files for the family
you are targetting, for example, X5200U.* and XBLOX.*, for an
XC5200 design.
File Download area of Xilinx Web site:
======================================
(Xilinx File ftp://ftp.xilinx.com/pub/swhelp/foundation/x2000u.zip)
(Xilinx File ftp://ftp.xilinx.com/pub/swhelp/foundation/x3000u.zip)
(Xilinx File ftp://ftp.xilinx.com/pub/swhelp/foundation/x4000u.zip)
(Xilinx File ftp://ftp.xilinx.com/pub/swhelp/foundation/x5200u.zip)
(Xilinx File ftp://ftp.xilinx.com/pub/swhelp/foundation/xbloxu.zip)
Once these files are copied into the C:\ACTIVE\SYSLIB directory
you should be all set to open and create XACTStep6 Projects.
