Problem Title:
XABEL6, Foundation F1.3/F1.4: EDIF netlists from XABEL in M1/F1 are
encrypted.
Problem Description:
Keywords: netlist, encrypt, abel, edif
Urgency: Standard
General Description:
XABEL6 (included with Foundation F1.x) uses EDIF netlists instead of the XNF or
Plusasm netlists which were used in XACT5/6. In order to provide a keyless versi
on of the ABEL compiler, XABEL writes EDIF netlists with encrypted contents to p
rotect the 3rd party vendor.
Solution 1:
In order to verify the logical interpretation of the source design, you can use
the .EQ3 file produced by XABEL. For a post-fit verification, the simprims-base
d simulation netlist can be used to verify the contents of the design.
