M1.3/M1.4: TIMING ANALYZER, XILINX DESIGN MANAGER, LBGUI, PROMFMTR, on Solaris: core dumps may be due to 97A Verilog XNLSPATH settings
Record #2673
Product Family: Software
Product Line: FPGA Core
Problem Title:
M1.3/M1.4: TIMING ANALYZER, XILINX DESIGN MANAGER, LBGUI, PROMFMTR, on
Solaris: core dumps may be due to 97A Verilog XNLSPATH settings
Problem Description:
Keywords: core dump, design manager, timing analyzer, timingan,
dsgnmgr, solaris, prom file formatter, logiblox
Urgency: standard
General description:
The M1 Design Manager, Timing Analyzer, and other GUI-based
tools may core dump on Solaris 2.5.1 systems if an
XNLSPATH variable is set to an incompatible set of libraries.
For example, the XNLSPATH libraries required by the 97A version
of Verilog-XL for Solaris are incompatible with the Xilinx M1.3
and M1.4 graphical interface tools.
Reference #: 17036
Solution 1:
Try unsetting the XNLSPATH variable, then restarting the
GUI application which is showing the core dump problem. If
the application does not core dump, you can
try adding back libraries to this variable one at a time
and see which library actually causes the problem.
Solution 2:
Append $XILINX/data to the XNLSPATH variable.
setenv XNLSPATH ${XNLSPATH}:${XILINX}/data
