CPLD: CPLD command-line does not support reading PART attribute from netlist.
Record #3008
Product Family: Software
Product Line: EPLD Core
Problem Title:
CPLD: CPLD command-line does not support reading PART attribute from
netlist.
Problem Description:
Keywords: CPLD, PART, indesign
Urgency: standard
General description:
The "cpld" command is provided on workstation platforms for running
the XC9500 fitter as an alternative to the Design Manager GUI.
Unlike the Design Manager, PART attributes embedded in the design
netlist are not readable by the CPLD command; they are ignored.
Note: the parameter "-p indesign" supported in earlier versions of
the cpld command is not supported in M1.x software.
Solution 1:
Desired target parts must be specified on the cpld command line
using the "-p" parameter. By default, the cpld fitter automatically
selects the device from the XC9500 family. Type the cpld command
with no parameters to view a complete description of supported
command-line parameters.
