General Description:
With a Xilinx installation of Workview Office 7.3x, there is a command that
will cross reference the components on all the schematics of your design.
This program is accesible with a Xilinx-restricted license, but may not be
installed with Workview Office 7.31.  This tool is accessed within ViewDraw,
via Tools->XREF Schematic

The error message you may receive will be found in the DOS box that appears
when XREF is run.  It will look something like this:

BAF2VL.EXE: File not found

or

Bad Command or File Name


Solution 1:

Install ViewPCB from Workview Office 7.3x.

Re-run the Workview Office installation, with the following options:

1) When entering your name, company, and serial number, do not use OEM, OEM1,
or OEM2 as the serial number.  Pick any number to fill the Serial field.

2) When prompted for the license.dat file, select Skip.

3) Select "Custom" as the type of install.

4) When presented with the list of tools to install, select only "ViewPCB".

If this is a new install, you should also install ViewDraw, ViewSim, EDIF, and
any other tools that you plan on using (make sure you are licensed for these
tools).

Note:  A re-install will reset the POWERVIE.INI file in WVOFFICE\STANDARD, so
you must re-edit this file to place the "EXCLUSIVE 38" string required for
Xilinx-restricted licenses.
