How to resolve the Excessive Run-time or Bus Errors caused by the
CPLD Fitter?


Solution 1:

If the CPLD fitter program hitop runs for too long (over an hour)
or if it terminates with a bus error, you may be able to get
results more quickly by turning on the new Multi-level Logic
Optimization option for the fitter.

To do this in the Flow Engine, go to Setup -> Options. Click on
the Edit Template button in the Options dialog. Go to the Advanced
Optimization section and select the checkbox marked Multi-Level
Logic Optimization.





Solution 2:

You can also do it using the -mlopt option for the CPLD script.
