General Description:  When performing a simulation in ViewSim, it is necessary
to load the initial contents of RAMS/ROMS by means of executing an XMM file.
Errors will be encountered if there are discrepencies between the ViewSim
netlist and the XMM file.  They look like this:

Error: Could not find memory component U1


Solution 1:

The error will occur when trying to load the XMM file into ViewSim.

First, check to make sure the proper XMM file is being used.  If it is correct,
next check the VSM file and compare this with the XMM file.  Search in the VSM
file, using a text editor, for the instance strings found in the XMM file.

The case of the instances and direction of the hierarchial slashes must be
the same.  Edit the XMM file to match the netlist instances.  This commonly
occurs when moving between platforms (PC and workstation).
