M1.4 PAR - PAR runs out of memory during placement of design with hard
macros (.nmc's) that contain routing information.
Problem Description:
A case has been seen where PAR runs out of memory during
placement of of a design with hard macros (.nmc). The memory usage ramps up stea
dily during placer iterations. The problem
was found to be related to the placement of hard macros that
contain routing information. A patch is available for M1.4.
Solution 1:
A fix for this PAR error is included in the current M1.4 Core
