Problem Title:
M1.4: Can I use the JTAG/Parallel cable to configure an FPGA?

Problem Description:
Keywords: hardware debugger, fpga, configuration, parallel,
cable, jtag

Urgency: Standard

General Description: Can the JTAG/Parallel Cable (Model DLC5)
be used to configure an FPGA?

Solution 1:

The JTAG/Parallel cable can be used to configure an FPGA when
using Hardware Debugger 1.4.12 or later.

From the pod on the cable connect all pins in the FPGA section
on the label (VCC, GND, CCLK, D/P, DIN, PROG) to the
corresponding pins on the FPGA.

You will have to supply VCC and a common GND to the cable.
