Problem Title:
JTAG Cable cannot be used for FPGA configuration with PROG pin
connected.
Problem Description:
PROG pin on Parallel cable III a.k.a. JTAG cable is held low after downloading t
hus forcing the device back to configuration mode. If the PROG pin of JTAG cable
is left unconnected, we can use JTAG cable for configuring the FPGA device (whi
ch is a workaround for using JTAG with FPGA's). The problem is masked by the sof
tware by giving false information to the user by giving confirmation that "The D
evice is configured", upon completion of download operation.
Solution 1:
This problem is fixed in the latest M1.4 GUI Update
available on the Xilinx Download Area:
