Solution 1:

Version 3.0c1 of Synplify added Viewlogic busnames compatability
switch in the <synplicity>/lib/xilinx/partdata.txt file. Set the
property as follows:

xnf_bit_chars 0; # Uses <> for busses, set to 0 to omit
