Xilinx-Specific Highlights

The Paradigm RP is a modular system consisting of a set of interconnected emulation boards. Each emulation board contains 18 Xilinx 3090 chips and 16 Xilinx 4010 chips. The 4010 chips are mounted on 8 daughterboards, and the 3090 chips are embedded in the motherboard. The 4010 chips are used for logic block emulation, while the 3090 chips are used primarily for crossbar routing (although it is possible to emulate ""glue logic"" in these devices as well).

Design Flow

  1. Designs are imported from all standard EDA formats, and cell libraries are supported for most major ASIC vendor families.
  2. The Design Browser gives you a powerful, yet intuitive graphical environment for floorplanning, partitioning, allocation, and automatic routing.
  3. Once your design is ready, Concept Silicon's open framework lets you integrate third-party simulators, timing analyzers and physical hardware to identify and correct timing problems and performance bottlenecks.
  4. Afterwards, use Concept Silicon to interface your final system to the Paradigm RP for complete, real-time verification.
  5. Use Concept Silicon by itself to develop custom prototype hardware or low-cost prototype replicates for early software integration.
