Mr. Triffaux is vice president of European sales and marketing, where he oversees all sales and marketing activities in Europe. 

In 1987, Triffaux started the European operations for Xilinx and was instrumental in the growth of Xilinx's European presence in 22 countries. Prior to Xilinx, Mr. Triffaux was with Thomson Semiconductor (before the merger with SGS) for three years, most recently as sales and marketing director for Northern Europe. Before that, he held several positions with National Semiconductor, including business unit manager for central Europe. He also has experience working at semiconductor device stocking representatives. Shortly after graduation, he worked at the Nuclear Research Centre at Leuven University. Triffaux has been in the semiconductor industry since 1974. 

Triffaux holds a degree in electronic engineering.
