As vice president of marketing, Mr. Vij is principally responsible for all of the company's marketing activities.  As general manager of Xilinx's high-volume FPGA business, Mr. Vij overseas product planning, IC design, product engineering, operations and marketing for all high-volume FPGA products.

Mr. Vij joined Xilinx in 1996 as director of FPGA marketing. Previously, he worked for Altera Corporation where he held a variety of marketing positions during his 5 year term.  Prior to Altera, he held marketing and engineering positions at General Electric Company. Mr. Vij has a patent pending and has published numerous papers for industry conferences and technical trade journals.

Vij holds an MSEE degree from Stanford University and a BSEE.
