Subject: Product Discontinuance Notification (PDN97005) -- Withdrawal of certain specific low volume device/package combinations (chart below). Note that no Xilinx Military product offerings are affected.

Change Description: Xilinx is discontinuing the above product/package combinations and providing our customers with two years notification to plan the obsolescence and/or replacement of these product /package combinations. This is believed to be the most customer responsive discontinuation policy in the industry.
Reason For Change: The above product/package combinations have declined in customer usage to the point where continued manufacturing is becoming no longer economical. In order to continue Xilinx evolutionary process of cost reductions it is necessary to discontinue these product/package combinations.
Action Requires: Assistance in planning for replacement of the above product/package combinations is available. Please contact your Xilinx sales representative for more information.
Key Dates:
Final orders accepted until 12/31/1998
Final deliveries on or before 3/31/1999
