Foundation 2.1i: How to install additional device families.
Problem Description:
Urgency: Standard
General Description: After installing the F2.1i software,
the user may wish to add additional devices or families
to the current software install. What is the easiest way
to do this without reinstalling the entire product?
Solution 1:
It is possible to install just the device libraries for additional
devices or families. Since the program executables have
already been installed, it is not necessary to reinstall those.
*Invoke the SETUP program from the F2.1i Design
Environment CD.
*On the "Update Existing Installation" dialog, select "Add
Implementation Devices", to add FPGA devices or families.
*On the "Select FPGA Device to Install" dialog, check the
devices or families you wish to install.
*On the "Update Existing Installation" dialog, select "Add
Software Tools", to add CPLD devices.
Start the installer.
