			Overview
			Rapid Prototypes, Inc. has developed some of the fastest FPGA
			designs with performance exceeding 250 MHz. Even if you don't need such blazing performance,
			we can scale our numerous IP blocks to any speed required, since all designs are
			fully static and operate synchronously down to DC. 
			Rapid Prototypes can help you minimize your time to market
			for new products utilizing FPGA and other rapid prototyping technologies. We have
			an extensive library of basic components for building designs, resulting in reduced
			design time and higher levels of reliability than is available with full-custom designs. 
			Experience: Over 100 FPGAs completed. 
			High Performance Designs: 400 MHz HDTV Video, 200 MHz
			memory interfaces, 250 MHz digital cross correlators, digital communications, image
			processing, audio, and reconfigurable computing.  
			Tools: Viewlogic, Verilog, C register transfer and behavioral
			models, C++, Java, Xilinx M1.5 FPGA place and route tools, floorplanning and implementation
			software.
			 Specialization
			Rapid Prototypes, Inc. can work with clients to develop specifications
			and delivery schedules for new product developments utilizing FPGA technology. We
			can also assist clients with design reviews and recommendations. 
			Previous Projects: 
			
				- 400 MHz intelligent HDTV frame buffer, compositing engine
				and display driver.
				
 - 250 MHz cross correlator.
				
 - 200 MHz SDRAM interface and controller. We developed a single-chip
				memory interface that provides burst bandwidths of 800 Megabytes per second per memory
				chip using standard SDRAMs.
				
 - PCI reconfigurable computer. Designed, developed and tested
				a reconfigurable computer using a PCI bus with over 500,000 reconfigurable logic
				gates. Developed a real-time video processing application capable of determining
				depth from stereo video in real time at each pixel in a video display. Computation
				performed roughly 10 Giga-instructions per second on a single FPGA PCI board.
				
 - Disk controllers. Rapid Prototypes has designed FPGA's
				to interface to disk drives and other storage media.
				
 - Graphics engines. Rapid Prototypes, Inc. has extensive
				experience in graphics and real-time rendering for 2D and 3D graphics applications.
				
 - Real-time video compression units. Rapid Prototypes,
				Inc. has worked on real-time video compression and decompression algorithms utilizing
				FPGA's for efficient and cost-effective codecs for video and audio.
