Subject: Product Discontinuation Notification (PDN98004). "Discontinuation
of the XC1718 Product (all temperature grades, voltage options, and package
options)."
Products Affected: All XC1718 (note, this discontinuation
does not affect the XC1736E or XC1765E)

Change Description: The above referenced XC1718 parts are being
discontinued. Suggested replacement for these products is the XC1736E (5volt),
XC1765E (5volt) or XC1765EL (3.3volt) in the appropriate temperature and
package option.
Reason for Change: The XC1718 was designed to support the XC2064
and XC2018 product lines and the smaller versions of the XC3000 product
families. These product lines are already under discontinuation notice
(PCN96010) or are
not currently recommended for new designs.
Key Dates: Last date to order any of the above products is 26
June 1999 with final delivery on or before 26 September 1999. This allows
more than one year for conversion to the alternate supporting PROMs.
Response: No response to this notification is required. Requests
for additional data or support should be made within 90 days of notification.
