New Marking for SpartanTM Series Devices
Xilinx Incorporated will institute new marking procedures on its SpartanTM
Series devices. The new mark will incorporate the SpartanTM
logo as well as the Xilinx ® logo mark in the same area the Xilinx
® only logo mark originally resided. All other information (i.e. Part
Number, Lot Code, Date Code, etc...) stay the same. Below is a comparison
of the current mark vs. the new mark.
Line 1 = Xilinx Part Number
Line 2 = Package Type, Pin Count, Date Code
Line 3 = Assembly Lot Code
Line 4 = Speed and Temperature Grade
Devices with Date Codes 9937 and later will have the new mark. Devices
with date codes before 9937 will have the current marking. Devices with
the new marking will start to reach customers as early as September 13,
1999.
It is possible, for some period of time, that customers will receive
devices with the current marking and devices with the new marking shipped
together. While customers may receive parts with both marking in the same
shipment, Xilinx will not mix devices of different markings in the same
tray or tube. This situation will exist only until inventory of product
with the current marking has been depleted.
