XILINX EXPANSION CONTINUES Company Purchases Two Buildings to Accommodate Growth SAN JOSE, Calif., July 26, 2000 — Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ:XLNX) today announced the purchase of two additional buildings located at 2310 and 2314 North First Street in San Jose. Located at North First and Charcot Avenue, the buildings will provide approximately 200,000 additional square feet and are expected to house up to 700 Xilinx employees. Over 1,500 employees now work at the company's main campus in San Jose and over 500 employees work at other Xilinx locations worldwide. "Xilinx experienced tremendous growth this past year and has added over 700 new employees," said Wim Roelandts, president and CEO of Xilinx. “As the number one supplier of programmable logic, we expect the growth to continue in the coming years. This additional facility will provide Xilinx with an immediate solution to our expanding workforce." The purchase of the new buildings is the latest in a string of new construction projects Xilinx has undertaken in the last few years. In 1999, the company completed construction of a fourth building at its San Jose headquarters located at Hwy 85 and Union Avenue. Expansion projects are also underway at Xilinx locations in Colorado and Ireland.
