SAN JOSE, Calif.—July 6, 2000—Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ:XLNX) today announced that it has acquired Integral Design, a privately held design services firm headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.  Terms of the acquisition made through the Xilinx Ireland subsidiary were not disclosed.  The purchase is not expected to have a material effect on Xilinx financial results. All Integral employees have accepted positions within the Xilinx Ireland professional design services organization.

The acquisition enhances Xilinx® professional design services capabilities in the communications and multimedia market segments. Recent advances in FPGA performance and capabilities, including ten million system gate designs, continue to drive customer needs for additional design resources and capabilities.
