Product Change Notification PCN95001
31 March, 1995
Subject: Process Change Notification (PCN95001) - Addition of a New Process for the Xilinx XC1718D, XC1736D, and XC1765D Serial Configuration PROMs. Products Affected: XC1718D, XC1736D, and XC1765D Note: Please see PDN98004 for the latest
update on the XC1718 product - 6/26/98.
Change Description: Xilinx has established and qualified a new wafer process for the fabrication of Xilinx 18, 36 and 65K Serial Configuration PROMs. The new wafer process is the 0.85µM process at tsmc. This 0.85µM process is currently used by tsmc to fabricate the XC17128D and XC17256D products. Product manufactured with this new process is form, fit, and system compatible with the existing XC1718D, XC1736D and/or XC1765D and will program with the existing XC1700D algorithms. Reason For Change: This process change provides Xilinx customers with improved availability of this product line and makes the fabrication process of the entire EPROM line identical, facilitating future customer qualifications. Key Dates: Xilinx will make both product available for some time. Xilinx asks that you place orders for the 1.0µM XC1718D, XC1736D, or XC1765D product by May 30, 1995, for delivery up to and including August 30, 1995. Xilinx support is available to assist you in this transition. For technical information on this product please contact your sales representative. Traceability: Product manufactured with this 0.85µM can be identified by the bottom mark code "G" adjacent to the lot number. Response to this notification is not required. For any questions regarding
this PCN you may contact Xilinx via email at "pcn@xilinx.com"
