C_IP5 Install Instructions & Release Notes
C_IP5 Install Instructions
- C_IP5 is available both as a ZIP file, and as a "tar" file which has
been compressed using "gzip". The ".zip" file can be unpacked using
a recent release of WinZip (such as 7.0 SR-1 or later) on Windows. On
Unix, some versions of unzip as may be used to unpack this Zip file
on UNIX, but see the Known Problems link below for information on some
known issues with this. On UNIX platforms, it is recommended that you
download the ".tar.gz" file and unpack it using the UNIX command line
utilities gzip and tar. (Note the problems seen with older UNIX "tar"
commands below.)
- Quit out of the CORE Generator application if you are currently running
it.
- Download the zip file c_ip5.zip
or c_ip5.tar.gz
and save it to a temporary directory.
- Extract the zip file or tar.gz archive to your $XILINX directory,
preserving the relative paths such as:
coregen/ip/xilinx/baseblox_v1_0/com/xilinx/ip/baseblox_v1_0/
coregen/ip/xilinx/unisim_v1_0/com/xilinx/ip/unisim.
- Restart the Core Generator, and then choose "Update Cores"-> "All
to Latest" on the "Project Menu" for each project you want to have access
to the new cores. Verify whether the installation has succeeded by checking
that you can see the new cores in the Core Generator, such as "Distributed
Arithmetic FIR" in the "Digital Signal Processing/Filters" folder.
