Overview
Applied Telecom, Inc. is a leading supplier of embedded communications products
and technologies that meet the needs of communications equipment and semiconductor
device manufacturers for standards compliant component and subsystem solutions. Our
technical focus includes but is not limited to communications standards such as SONET/SDH,
PDH, and ATM. Our software and hardware products provide vital standards-compliant
system functions and are designed with well-defined interfaces and features to work
in many different system architectures and applications.
Applied Telecom combines design technologies such as real-time embedded software
and FPGA/ASIC design with proven expertise in communications equipment architecture
and design. We provide processor as well as platform independent ANSI C software
products, and services that implement both legacy and emerging communications standards.
In conjunction with, or separately from our software solutions, we offer hardware
modules and FPGA/ASIC products and services focused on implementing these same communications
standards. We follow a top-down design methodology and strive to build portable,
reusable, and flexible products and services that meet key needs such as time-to-market,
ease-of-use and re-use, and strict adherence to applicable communications standards.
