SAN JOSE, Calif., December 4, 2000 – Xilinx Inc., (NASDAQ:XLNX), in collaboration with Insight Electronics, today announced the Home Networking Industry Forum 2001, an all day event focusing on the new and explosive market of home networking.  The event will be held at the Santa Clara Convention Center on February 1, 2001, and is intended to provide a technical overview of current state-of-the-art home networking technologies as well as insights into future product and technology directions. Admission is free with seating limited to 500. Visit www.xilinx.com/events/seminars/hnif for complete agenda and registration information.

Presentations will be delivered by industry visionaries, experts, and chairs of home networking consortiums. Topics will range from broadband access, residential gateways, and home networking technologies to information appliances. There will also be live demonstrations of home networking products and solutions. A panel discussion will focus on the challenges associated with the adoption, evolution, and interoperability of the various home networking standards.
