Okay, now for the pictures. My digital camera is not exactly high-grade, but it does give the general idea. The first two pictures were taken less than twelve hours after he was born. I neglected to put something in the picture to give a size reference, therefore they are a bit deceiving as he really is smaller than the pictures show.
Note the position of the fingers of his left hand. That's an A-chord on an left-handed guitar neck! He's starting that high-level functioning early!
Wait a minute, he's got more hair than his dad!
Now this is truly a moment: the first time Mom gets to hold her little Matthew.
The colors in this image are terrible thanks to poor lighting and a poor camera, but look at how long those fingers are! Not Karen's, the baby's.
Another wonderful moment, a grandmother seeing her grandbaby for the first time!
We have wonderful friends who sure have great taste in flowers.
