The synthesis tools generate an EDIF netlist from your source files.
The physical synthesis tools generate an optimized EDIF netlist and constraint files from your EDIF netlist (the one generated by synthesis tools).
Use the Profiles dialog box to change your default synthesis and physical synthesis tool.
Colors:
Green - Tool succeeded.
Red - Tool failed. See the tool's log file for information on why synthesis or physical synthesis may have failed.
White - Status undefined. Libero does not know if synthesis or physical synthesis was successful. Note that your EDIF netlist may be current even if the tool is not green.
If one of the EDIF netlists is out of date (you updated your source files, changed the package, etc.) re-run synthesis or physical synthesis to update it. You may update your netlist file manually if you wish.
