To set these advanced options during Layout, click Advanced in the Layout dialog box.
Check this box to select High Effort Placement mode. In High Effort placement mode the placer devotes priority to performance optimization. Use this option to obtain better performance at the expense of placer runtime. You can also combine this option with the Multi-Pass mode to achieve the best possible performance (“overnight” run).
The High Effort option is only available in timing-driven Layout mode; it has no effect on the router.
Note: If you change the High Effort Setting you must re-run the placer and router to complete Layout.
Click Restore Defaults to run the factory default settings for Advanced options.
