Product Line: FPGA Core

Problem Title:
Design Manager 6.0.1: Translate in Win 95 produces a DOSGRAB "DOS mode"
message

Problem Description:
A message may appear during the Translate phase when using Design Manager in
Windows 95.

DOS Grab
--------
This program requires MS-DOS mode. DOSGRAB may not run until
it is run in DOS mode. Do you want to run in DOS mode?

Selecting "Yes" will not prevent this message from appearing during the next
translation. In most cases, this is a benign problem, but there are some
cases in which this has caused translate to fail.

Solution 1:

Use the Windows Explorer and find dosgrab.exe in the \xact
directory. Do the following:

1) Select dosgrab (make sure that you are selecting dosgrab.exe
and not the shortcut) with the right mouse button. This will
cause a pop-up menu to appear.

2) Select "Properties" at the bottom of the pop-up menu.

3) In the dosgrab Properties dialog box, select the "Program"
tab and press the "Advanced" button.

4) The Advanced Program Settings dialog will have "Suggest
MS-DOS mode as necessary" selected. Deselect this option to
prevent the DOSGRAB MS-DOS mode message from appearing.
