Record #2585

Product Family: Hardware

Product Line: 1700D

Problem Title:
XC1700D: Driving inputs when VCC is down should be avoided

Problem Description:
Keywords: SPROMS, VCC, 1700D, 1700L, Overshoot, Undershoot,
Inputs

Urgency: Standard

General Description: Are there any concerns with driving
the inputs when VCC is down on the XC1700 proms?

Solution 1:

The inputs on the XC1700 proms have protection diodes.
Driving the inputs when VCC is down will activate the
diodes and can result in large currents. Prolonged
exposure to these currents can result in metal migration
and reliability issues.
