When invoking the GUIs on a SunOS 4.1.x, the
following messages may be displayed while loading :

Warning: Can't load Codeset file 'c', using internal fallback

This may cause the GUIs not to load or crash while loading.


Solution 1:

Cause:

This message is caused by an incorrect Motif installation. In
fact, this message will be displayed everytime a motif
application is run. This warning can be safely ignored. To
get rid of this warning message, try the following procedure:

Check if the XNLSPATH variable is set. If it has been, check
if the $XNLSPATH/nls.dir file exists and contains the C
locale. Also, check if the $XNLSOPATH/C file exists.

If both $XNLSPATH/nls.dir and $XNLSPATH/C files do not exist
and the XNLSPATH variable has been set, unset the XNLSPATH
variable and try again.

You may have to check your Motif installation, if this does
not help you.
