Record #215

Product Family: Software

Product Line: FPGA Core

Product Part: prolink

Problem Title:
Prolink may hang after blank check on some pcs

Problem Description:
On some PCs the HW-120 programmer (with Prolink) may hang after the blank
check stage of the programming command.

Solution 1:

CAUSE:
The programmer is unable to communicate with the host PC using
the default protocol.

SOLUTION:
Change stop bits from 2 to 1

Solution 2:

CAUSE:
The problem is that the current version of the EPLD programmer runs at
19.2Kbaud by default, and not all PC serial cards are able to support this
transfer rate.

SOLUTION:
Verify that the PC serial card supports 19.2Kbaud. If it doesn't, try the
programmer on another PC.
