Problem Description:
Urgency: Standard

General Description:
What is an 'B', 'N', 'M' and 'R' grade parts?

Solution 1:

Currently available are the 'B', 'N', 'M' grade proms. Please refer to the
current databook prom or QPRO sections for part availability and further
details on these grades.

The 'B' grade stands for Military with an operating range/processing
of (-55 degrees to +125 degrees Celsius) QML certified to MIL-PRF-38535

The 'N' grade stands for Military Plastic with an operating range/processing
of (-55 degrees to +125 degrees Celsius).

The 'M' grade stands for Military with an operating range/processing
of (-55 degrees to +125 degrees Celsius).

In addition, older parts had an 'R' grade. This is a Military temperature
spec part with MIL-STD-883 Level B Equivalent Processing. The main
difference from a B spec part is that the wafer is produced by a
non-MID-STD-883 certified wafer fab.
