Solution 1:
To run XACT 5.0 Software under OS/2:
1. Using the right mouse button, click on a DOS WINDOW icon.
2. From the pull-down menu, choose Open, and then Settings.
3. From the pop-up box, choose Session.
4. Click on DOS Settings.
5. Set DPMI_DOS_API to ENABLED
6. Set DPMI_MEMORY_LIMIT to 32
7. Open a full screen DOS Windows, and start XDM
