Problem Title:
XDE 5.0: Do IOB names in EDITLCA correspond to pin or pad locations?
Problem Description:
Solution 1:
VERSION: All
PLATFORM: All
SHORT DESCRIPTION:
When viewing IOBs within EDITLCA, is it a pad or a pin?
ERROR MESSAGE: N/A
LONG DESCRIPTION:
When placing the cursor over an IOB within EditLCA, what information is
really being displayed on the status line? It appears like this example:
Pin: Pxx.yy
where xx is the package pin and yy is the IOB pin name (i.e. IK, OK,
T, etc.). However, confusion occurs when the cursor is placed over an
unbonded pad. An example follows:
Pin: Uxx.yy
where xx is the pad number and YY is the IOB pin name as above. Note
the U instead of a P. In this case, the correspondence is to a pad
number, NOT a pin number.
Additional information: All Xilinx device pads start at the top left
corner of the die, increasing in number clockwise around the die. To
see the pin to pad correspondence, look in the .PKG file within the
$XACT\DATA directory.
Also, if you want to know what pad the iob is associated with, in editlca,
you can place the cursor over the iob and hit F1.
