VIEWLOGIC SIMULATION: FXC2K, FXC3K, FXC4K, FXC7K libs give quicker simulation
Problem Description:
PROsim takes significantly longer to simulate with the UNIFIED XC libraries
than previous versions.
Simulation of designs with the 5.0.0 XC libraries suffered significant
increases in simulation runtime due to the addition of more comprehensive
violation checking.
Solution 1:
Use the FXC libraries for simulation by editing the VIEWDRAW.INI file to
point to the corresponding FXC library before simulating.
The FXC simulation libraries can be used in place of the new UNIFIED
libraries to reduce simulation runtime. The FXC simulation libraries do not
contain the additional violation checks but are identical in every other way.
NOTE: The XC libraries should be used to perform a final timing simulation
so that the complete violation checking will be performed.
