Here is the listing from the current Exit Criteria regarding memory
requirements for XACT 5.2/6.0:
Solution 1:
Extended Memory (RAM) and Swap Space:
The memory requirements listed below are for typical designs, and include
the loading of Windows and DOS. Additional memory may be required for
certain "boundary-case" or "pathological" designs, as well as for
concurrent operation of other applications (ie. Word, Excel).

This differs from 5.1.1 release requirements in the following ways:
- addition of swap space requirement
- some large 7000 devices may now require 16M/16M
- 4008 may now require 32M/32M
- addition of 5200 devices
The 4025 is EXCLUDED from the release. It will continue to be
distributed via the bulletin board to qualified customers only.
