While running a program under Windows, it fails with a GROWSTUB
error:
GROSTUB Caused a General Protection Fault in Module "pointer.dll"
Cause:
This is caused by the Microsoft mouse driver 9.01 GROWSTUB component.
Solution 1:
Solution:
Quit all applications and exit Windows. Then do one of the
following:
1. Remove the POINTER.EXE from the load= line in the win.ini
file and restart Windows.

2. On the Xilinx BBS is a file named hd1061.exe. It is a self-extracting zip file containing the upd
ated software from Microsoft. Execute the file in DOS, then
install the new driver according to the readme.txt file included in
the zip archive.
