Flow Engine 6.0.1: Optimize Step Must Be Run to Read in XACT-Performance Changes in
Constraints File
Problem Description:
After making changes to XACT-Performance requirements in a constraints file (design.CST),
the Place and Route process in the Flow Engine does not reflect these changes.
The Place and Route software continues to use the original specifications.
Cause:
The Place and Route software does not read XACT-Performance requirements from a constraints
file. XACT-Performance specifications in a constraints file are read in during the Optimize phase.
Solution 1:
To read in modifications to XACT-Performance requirements in a constraints file,
run the Optimze phase. The Optimize phase will verify the syntax of the
requirements and merge it into the design file.
