Problem Title:
POWER.EXE may slow down PPR


Problem Description:
power.exe is a device that can be loaded in the config.sys that is used to reduce power consumption when applications are idle. It is possible that this device may not recognize PPR as being active ( when PPR is run in DOS) and power down resources, leaving PPR in a wait state until it sees user act ivity.

power.exe was really intended for portables and not needed for desktop computers.


Solution 1:

Remove power.exe from the config.sys.
